MAKING LOVE TO A
KEYBOARD
uring
my second year of architecture studies, a lecturer once
mentioned to us, that in order to achieve success in something,
one needs to have a passion for it.
This didn’t make sense to me at all, since the only passion I
knew at that stage had nothing to do with success, but merely
with love (or so we thought, until we discovered it was only
pure lust and curiosity).
So, I thought, could one possibly associate love with passion?
And I realized that the two words in fact go hand in hand –
the one cannot exist without the other.
You can love something or someone, but it is only when you do so
with a passion, that you discover real satisfaction.
All this philosophy was explained when I witnessed B play the
piano.
He loved his profession and had a passion for this instrument.
It was fascinating to watch him touch the keys with an elegance
that was unheard of.
As if he were making love to a keyboard.
