Etienne Marais was born in Germiston and currently resides in Centurion. Besides his photography he is a computer engineer and a web developer. He is a member of the Pretoria Writer's Circle and keeps himself busy playing guitar, ballroom dancing, photography and charcoal art. Infrequently he tries to complete his archaeology degree. His Jeep Cherokee is extremely heavy on petrol and he finds that he has to work most of his spare time just to cover his travelling expenses. He blames George W. Bush for this. He has two Great Danes, a Jack Russell and a Gray Cat (all inherited).
Amanda Greeff was born next to the majestic Drakensberg Mountains and grew up in Pretoria, where she currently resides. She is an architectural technologist, and in her spare time she runs a small modelling agency. She is a member of the Pretoria Writer's Circle as well, and a budding artist, musician and photographer. She is an accomplished lepidopterist (butterfly catcher). She is an able horse-rider and simply loves these beasts. She loves cats, as well. Amanda still wants to do a scuba-diving course and get her pilot's licence. She can SMS without looking at the buttons. One day she wants to become the first female president of South Africa, failing that, simply to be very, very, very rich.
