• The competitions of golf
will be run in accordance with the most recent technical
rules of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews,
unless otherwise stated. In the events of a disagreement on
the interpretation of the rules, the English text will be
regarded as authoritative (FISU Regulations, Article
112.11).
• The programme and duration of the competitions are fixed
by the Executive Committee of FISU in agreement with the
Organising Committee and the International Technical
Committee. The competitions will last four (4) days and will
include the following events for men and women:
– Men’s individual competition;
– Women’s individual competition;
– Men’s team competition (72 holes - stroke play);
– Women’s team competition (72 holes - stroke play).
• The championships will be played over 72 holes
stroke-play: 18 holes a day for the four consecutive days of
the event.
• At the first General Technical Meeting, the Head of
Delegation or his representative shall confirm and sign the
official list of the competitors accredited by the CISCA.
• Each country may enter a maximum of sixteen (16) persons
of whom eleven (11) may be competitors and five (5)
officials.
• In each event, each country may enter:
– Men: six (6) competitors in the individual event and four
(4) competitors in the team event of whom the three (3) with
the best results each day will count for the classification
by team per day;
– Women: five (5) competitors in the individual event and
three (3) competitors in the team event of whom the two (2)
with the best results each day will count for the
classification by team per day.
• Entries should reach the Organising Committee by the
following dates:
– Quantitative: June 2, 2008;
– Nominative & Individual: August 2, 2008. |
