The leader board for men remains unchanged after two days of
play. Leonardo Motta ( Italy) played 72 for a total of 140.
David Booth of Great Britain dropped to 76 after playing 69
in the first round. He now shares the 2nd position with Andy
Shakespeare also of Great Britain at 145.
Individual
- Ladies
In the ladies individual competition the leader board has
changed. Caroline Rominger ( Switzerland) leads with 147
followed by first round leader Katie Tewell ( USA) on 150
with Marion Ricordeau ( France) and Laura Crawford ( USA)
both on 151 in third position.
Team
Event - Men
The team event for men saw a change with Italy now leading
the field by 1 stroke at 439 with Japan second at 440. Great
Britain, first round leaders, dropped to 3rd place with 442
strokes. Fourth is Spain with 443 strokes. Further back is
France, 12 strokes behind at 451 and USA at 454.
The host country, South Africa will have to improve
dramatically if they wish to remain a contender with 457
strokes in the 7th position.
Team
Event – Ladies
USA ladies are dominating the women’s championship. With 3
players in the top 5 they have a total of 296. This is 3
strokes better than Switzerland ladies who were first round
leaders. They were followed by France ( 305), Great Britain
( 308) and Japan ( 311).
